The History of our farm

Our farm is a second generation farm, established by Mervin and Marie Gussiaas (my father and mother) in 1955. His father and mother were immigrants from Norway. Our farm is located in east central North Dakota near Carrington. Carrington is a small community with a population of about 2,500, just south of the American/Canadian border about 100 miles. Our farm is family owned and operated. Crops that we have grown on our farm are corn, spring wheat, barley, soybeans, borage, lupins, lentils, crambe, dry edible beans, omega Flax, brown flax, dry peas, watermelons, sweet corn, sunflowers, niger thistle,
plus many other specialty crops.
Roger has now added his son Brock to the family business of
tending the farm. |
