What is Industrial Hemp?
Hemp is a strain of the Cannabis Sativa L. plant. There are thousands of other ways that the seeds, stalks, flowers and oils of this plant can be put to good use. Hemp is used for textiles, paper, food, personal care products,building material and as a source of bio-fuels. It can be grown with little or no toxic chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides. The fiber becomes secondary and is used for car panels, insulation and many more uses. If grown the fiber alone, the end product is a cottonized fiber used in the textile industry.

Why can't hemp be grown in America?
Hemp cannot be commercially grown in the United States because it is erroneously confounded with marijuana. The United States permits trade in nonviable hemp seed,oil, and fiber, it is the only major industrialized nation that prohibits the growing and processing of hemp.
